Homeopathy – a safe, effective system of natural medicine used by millions of people worldwide. Homeopathic medicines are recognized by the U.S. Food and Drug Administration, nontoxic when properly administered and can be safely utilized by infants, children and adults.
How does homeopathy differ from conventional medicine? Based on the principle that ‘like cures like’, homeopathy regards symptoms as the body’s healthy attempt to restore balance. Therefore, a remedy will be suggested that closely mimics the patients’ symptoms and administered in doses that closely fit the patient’s constitution and/or acute health concerns.
The principles for the system of homeopathy were developed by Samuel Hahnemann (1755-1843). The use of homeopathic remedies spread throughout Germany, England, United States and India. Within the last 20 years, research has been conducted and published in such medical journals as The Lancet, Pediatrics, and the British Medical Journal confirming homeopathy’s effectiveness.
HOMEOPATHIC Research Studies
University of Texas researchers reviewed data across multiple disciplines on homeopathy and cancer. They found that in some lab experiments, homeopathic remedies show a beneficial effect “on selected cancer cell lines”; but the effects of clinical studies with patients are unclear. “Several published outcome studies and some randomized controlled trials have shown that there may be a role for homeopathy in symptom relief and improving quality of life of patients touched by cancer,” said researchers, but further clinical trials are needed. – Frankel M.
